Counselling is available in-person, by phone and online throughout Simcoe County:

Same day appointments are available beginning at approximately 9 am on the appointment day. For in-person appointments, please select the location you are willing to travel to. For virtual appointments, you may select an appointment from any of our locations.

Information for your session is collected through a a secure online platform. You can also call us to book an appointment at 705-725-7656

Regardless of whether your session is in-person, on the phone, or online, there is paperwork to complete. There may also be some additional questionnaires to fill out if you attend counselling in-person.

  • During your one hour session, you will speak with a clinician who will work with you to gain a better understanding of the concern that has brought you to the clinic and/or help you to develop strategies for this concern.
  • The clinician will complete a summary note that will include feedback, recommendations, and a possible referral to other supports/services at New Path or within the community as needed.
  • Please note that New Path does not diagnose specific conditions or disorders nor can we provide a medication treatment review.

This program is free. It is funded by the Ministry of Health. Your OHIP card is not required to access counselling support.

Yes. If you need an interpreter, please call or email us to book your appointment at 705-725-7656 / info@newpath.ca. This allows us to ensure that everything is in place before your appointment.

If you access the clinic for additional support, the same clinician may not always be available. Don’t worry, we are all here to help.

PLEASE NOTE: If your child is UNDER THE AGE OF 12 and you have a JOINT CUSTODY AGREEMENT the other parent MUST consent to each session you attend. Your child CANNOT be seen without the consent of the other parent on the day of the session

New Path is a proud partner of One Stop Talk (OST). If our Quick Access Counselling Clinic is full or not available, you can access virtual counselling support through a new program called OST. Through OST you receive free, professional counselling and can also be referred to additional services at New Path, if required.
